Guild Wars Reaches 5 Million Mark
Those who still use their computers to entertain themselves with the many games available to them will most likely know World of Warcraft by Blizzard. It is a popular online video game that has attracted many gamers from all around the world.
There is another game out there that was created by Blizzard and has made a smaller mark on the gaming community. Guild Wars may not be as popular – but it is still a game that is fun to play and offers a way for others to connect and play with each other.
We all know what Guild Wars is – but we admit that it isn’t as addictive as WOW at least we didn’t think it was. It seems that the franchise has finally reached the 5 million units mark – something that calls for celebration. In case there is any confusion that doesn’t mean that there are five million gamers out there playing Guild Wars (though it is a possibility). This just means that they have sold this many copies of the game.
All of these five million games include the original Guild Wars and all of the expansions (Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North). This may mean that we might see a Guild Wars 2 coming into the market later this year or early in 2009. We might just be convinced to take a break from our WOW experience and try it out.
