Scrabulous Changes Name And Rules To Skirt Lawsuit

The creators of the Scrabble knockoff Scrabulous have taken their Scrabble knock-off game off Facebook and replaced it with something new. This time they are sure that they have avoided any problems concerning trademark and copyright laws.

The creators removed Scrabulous off on Tuesday from Facebook when they were approached with a lawsuit from the owners of Scrabble’s North American rights. Now, the game has reappeared with the name Wordscraper. The change could help it avoid any confusion with Scrabble.

And the game itself has also changed. Instead of Scrabble-like square tiles, for instance, Wordscraper has circles. We’ll see how long this lasts.
